e-Payment applications now include new services such as e-Banking and secure transactions over phone and Internet. Proliferating e-Identification applications allow governments, corporations and other organizations deploying smart-card based IDs to authenticate users, grant access and manage credentials over private or open networks. In both instances, these applications require users (cardholders) to be equipped with low-cost personal terminals. Building on our established relationships with both market leaders and innovators, Teridian offers the widest range of advanced System-On-Chip (SOC) solutions for personal smart card readers and terminals. The SOC offerings ( 73S11xx and 73S12xx series ) combine 8-bit microcontrollers with built-in smart card interfaces (single or dual) and standards based communication capabilities, such as serial and USB interfaces. Other available features include PIN-pad interface, support for LCD driver, Real-Time-Clock, analog inputs, power management. On top of its silicon delivery approach, Teridian offers advanced software support with its SOCs, through ready-to-use embedded firmware and software drivers. They bring full compliance with applicable standards such as ISO-7816 or EMV 4.1 (Europay, MasterCard and Visa) for the card side, and with PC/SC, CCID and Microsoft WHQL for the host side.
